International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) adheres fully to the editorial standards and ethical principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). It also operates in alignment with the evaluation criteria and guidelines of the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB).

Publication Ethics & Best Practices
Editors and Reviewers

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) editors/organizing members and reviewers are required to declare any conflict of interest related to the manuscript they are requested to evaluate.

Before Publication

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) authors are expected to adopt the general ethical standards in their research and writing, ensuring that:

• The submitted work or any of its essential content has not been previously published in a refereed conference/journal and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. To ensure this, the editors screen out the submissions using the anti-plagiarism software, i.e., Turnitin.com.

• Published relevant material/work referred to by the authors in their research must be properly cited.

• Mentioning and acknowledging the sources of funding and significant help is the ethical obligation of the authors.

• Obtaining consent from the parties with vested interests is the ethical responsibility of the authors.

After Publication

If a published paper or its essential content is found to have been published before or if any other unethical conduct by the authors is verified, the conference chair will take one or more of the following actions:

• Publish a notice
• Retract the paper
• Prevent the corresponding author from publishing

• Report the impropriety to the corresponding author, co-authors, employer, head of the department (HOD), and funding body.

Complaints

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) issues corrections solely in cases where substantial errors are identified, whether originating from the authors (Corrigenda) or resulting from editorial oversight (Errata). In the event of a serious concern regarding the conference’s internal procedures, the Conference Chair will consult with the corresponding author and the relevant members of the Conference Organizing Committee (COC) to address and resolve the issue. Should these internal measures fail to provide a satisfactory resolution, the case will be referred to an external adjudicator in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Plagiarism Policy & Screening

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) uses Turnitin to assist COC in assessing the originality of submitted manuscripts. Plagiarism refers to the presentation of another individual’s work as one’s own, while duplicate publication and self-plagiarism occur when an author reuses substantial portions of their previously published work without appropriate citation. Manuscripts containing a similarity index of less than 20% will be considered for publication in the ICCRT proceedings. ICCRT is dedicated to upholding and disseminating original scholarly contributions within its scope, and plagiarism in any form is deemed unacceptable at any stage of the publication process, as it constitutes unethical academic conduct. ICCRT adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) flowchart in addressing plagiarism cases. Individuals who report suspected plagiarism are informed of the steps and procedures followed in the investigation.

Open Access Policy

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) is an open-access conference published by Scientific Collaborative Online Publishing Universal Academy, Pakistan. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access. Users are allowed to (work published under Attribution 4.0 International- CC BY 4.0) read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. All content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution.

Peer-Review Policy

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT): all manuscripts are reviewed through a blind peer-review process. Papers that do not fall within the scope of ICCRT are rejected. In addition, papers that fail to meet a minimum threshold for quality and originality are also rejected without being sent to the reviewers. At least two authoritative reviews are required before the handling Editor can decide to accept, reject, or ask for a revision. The editor is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles, and the editor's decision is final.

Advertising Policy

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) does not accept or display advertising on its website or in its publications.

Revenue Sources

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) proceedings are published under a Platinum Open Access (POA). In the POA arrangement, all costs associated with publishing Open Access articles are arranged by the Publisher (SCOPUA Research Support Funds - SRSF). Editorial and peer review decisions are based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. ICCRT does not accept commercial sponsorships that influence publication or editorial decisions. ICCRT policy complies with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB).

Direct Marketing and Solicitation Policy

International Conference on Current Research Trends (ICCRT) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and professionalism in all forms of communication and outreach. ICCRT Direct Marketing includes calls for papers (displayed on the journal website or social media). ICCRT strictly avoids predatory marketing, misleading solicitation, or deceptive recruitment practices.
